Capture The Flag - CTF 101
"Capture The Flag" (CTF) competitions, in the cybersecurity sense, are not related to playing outdoor running or traditional computer games. Instead, they consist of a set of computer security puzzles, or challenges, involving reverse-engineering, memory corruption, cryptography, web technologies, and more. When players solve them they get a "flag," a secret string which can be exchanged for points. The more points a team earns, the higher up it moves in rank.
At Coding Blocks, we believe that CTFs are not just a good way for security pros to get better at what they do, but also a fun way to get into the cybersecurity field.
That’s why along with the main Coding Blocks CTF competition there will also be some beginner tasks for folks who want to get started. In addition, the speed-running competition will be recorded, narrated, and presented online.
We are running an online 12-hour-long "Capture The Flag" (CTF) competition on 15th September 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
This is a team CTF Contest, you need to have a team of 5 people. Anyone looking to test and enhance their cyber offensive security maturity levels can participate.
There will be prizes for the winning team which will be announced one week before the competition.
