About Event

Join us as we welcome Kara Haug for Sexuality in the Home on Tuesday, January 12th from 7:00 to 9:00PM EST over Zoom! This workshop is a part of our January Parent/Caregiver Mini-Series. You can view the other workshops in this series here.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop will be recorded and will be made available for a limited time to everyone who registers.

We learn about who we are in our household and that applies to our sexuality as well. It makes an imprint. How we interact with our children sets the stage for them and their health around sexuality. This workshop will show you the ways sexuality interplays with all areas of our lives and how you can help your child from the moment they are born and each day in fostering a healthy sexuality and understanding of their bodies. In this workshop you will get to have tangible experience in answering questions and finding ways to ask your own questions.

Through this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • identify several techniques for approaching talking to their children about sexuality, boundaries, and consent;

  • identify age appropriate language for discussing sexuality and consent with their children; and

  • feel more prepared to answer children’s questions about sexuality and help them to establish boundaries.
