About Event

Establishing and scaling a design-led innovation practice is no easy task. We’re often treated with resistance to change, lack of leadership support, balancing creativity and commercialization, creating a culture of innovation, and maintaining consistency. 😩

In this very open and frank talk, Nathan will share four personal stories about building and scaling design and innovation practices he’s been involved in over the years—a brewery, a bank, a nation and a big 4 consultancy.

These are lessons from 20 years of establishing and scaling design-led innovation at a team, organisation, and country level. 🧠

Nathan will share his key learnings, the critical success factors, the false paths, the traps, and the epic failures, including how to identify early on whether your design practice is heading for failure and how to progress, pivot or perish. 🔥🔥
