Breakthrough Demo Day (Stanford)

​​Stanford's Black in CS is proud to present Breakthrough, the university's first Demo Day for entrepreneurs of color. Minority founders, despite owning over 20% of all businesses in the U.S., only received less than 2% of the nearly $300B allocated in venture capital in the previous year.

​​Breakthrough was created to address this disparity in funding and empower minority founders working on either seed or Series A companies. We have invited students and recent graduates from underrepresented racial and socioeconomic groups to pitch their companies and connect with venture capital firms and industry leaders.

​​We know the incredible potential minority founders bring to the table. We are excited to bring Breakthrough to Stanford and hope you will be able to join us in closing the gap.
