What’s Blockmeet?

Blockmeet is a global web3 community that also maintains a local physical presence, providing a space where web3 enthusiasts can gather, connect, and discover valuable knowledge through chance encounters.

Blockmeet is a bit different:

  1. Blockmeet takes place across the globe during a designated week of every month, with flexible schedules tailored to each chapter's needs.

  2. It is a community-driven initiative, powered by the active participation of its members.

  3. Seasoned leaders with expertise in various fields share their knowledge and insights during these gatherings.

  4. Each meetup offers a unique opportunity to learn from diverse individuals, ensuring a continuous flow of new ideas.

  5. Blockmeet places a strong emphasis on giving back to the community by providing valuable content and experiences.

Where and when is it?

Blockmeet occurs monthly, specifically during the third week, though the exact timing may vary based on specific considerations. Each chapter lead organizes their local Blockmeet, ensuring it takes place for a maximum of 2 hours.

The preferred venue is an open and easily accessible space, providing an ideal setting for the event.

To maintain a relaxed and informal atmosphere, no screens are used at the venue, avoiding any appearance of being overly formal or didactic.

What's the format of the Blockmeet:

Icebreaker - To kick off the event, we'll start with an engaging icebreaker activity that allows everyone, including the huddle leads, to introduce themselves.

Chapter Community Leads - Our esteemed Chapter Community Leads will then introduce themselves, sharing valuable insights about Blockmeet and the significance of Foundership in the Web3 community.

Split into Huddles - Following the introductions, participants will be divided into huddles led by our experienced huddle leads. Each huddle will delve into different ideas and diverse topics, providing valuable insights and encouraging interactive discussions.

Curate Ask & Give - During this segment, we encourage participants to actively engage by sharing what they can offer to fellow community members and expressing what support or collaboration they are seeking from the community or Foundership.

Refreshments - We understand the importance of catering to our participants' needs, and hence, we will provide refreshments during the event to ensure everyone stays energized and refreshed throughout the proceedings.

Token of Appreciation - As a gesture of gratitude, all participants will receive a small token of appreciation for their valuable contributions in making the event a resounding success.

How many join Blockmeet in a city?

Blockmeet maintains a curated approach, specifically targeting high-quality individuals with a keen interest in the technology and economics of Web3. Each city's event is limited to around 30 participants, ensuring a focused and engaging experience.

Presently, Blockmeet is successfully hosted in over 40 cities across the globe. As part of its expansion goals, the initiative aims to establish a presence in more than 75 cities by the year 2024.
