Building The Next Base: An Idea Marathon For Engineers, Scientists And Storytellers
You are in year 2035, what does life look like?
What did it take to colonize earth? What advances will we need to colonize another planet?
Some questions to help think:
We have achieved ASI, how will you apply it?
What advances do we need in industrial automation and robotics?
How will you power the planet and AI?
How would terraform another planet?
How would you travel?
How would transportation in deep space work?
What would be the role of humanoids, do we need that form factor?
How will agriculture work?
What would we need to do about food?
You have stay within the laws of Physics. With that, we request you to imagine a future that helps make life interplanetary but dramatically improves life on earth. I’ll leave you with a favourite quote of mine:
The Earth is the cradle of humanity, but mankind cannot stay in the cradle forever.
- Konstantin Tsiolkovsky
Guest lectures:
We have friends coming in to talk about building robots, biotech companies, neurotech and about the application and current states of different technologies you can apply today.
What this is:
It’s not a hackathon.
Storytellers, engineers, scientists - come together and design a 30,40,50 year vision
Reverse engineer that future
What is the step 1 to get to that mission, demo it
