Berkeley SkyDeck Accelerator, Batch 21 Info Session: Founders of Color
Join Berkeley SkyDeck’s virtual Info Session for Founders of Color to learn how our top global accelerator program can propel your startup to new heights and provide unparalleled access to Silicon Valley.
SkyDeck is committed to supporting founders from all cultures, races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds - all are welcome to attend this session. We believe embracing unique perspectives and ensuring equal opportunities for all will not only drive innovation, but also enrich the startup ecosystem.
SkyDeck is supported by influential Silicon Valley investors and is part of UC Berkeley, which was ranked the #1 university in the world for producing the most venture-backed founders, startups, and female entrepreneurs. It’s also the sole university accelerator partnered with a dedicated fund. Watch our video to delve deeper.
SkyDeck has expanded its eligibility requirements. While the program has always welcomed international founders, it is now open to all US-based founders, not just those with UC affiliation.
SkyDeck offers:
$200,000 investment from the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund (see the Fund’s Chon Tang on Bloomberg TV here).
Access to 850+ elite mentors and advisors, including some of the most successful entrepreneurs and thought leaders in the world. Check out this video about our advisor network.
Connection to a global network of 600,000+ Berkeley alumni.
Opportunity to pitch to 850+ Silicon Valley investors at Demo Day in Berkeley.
This session will be co-hosted by:
Bridgette L. Smith, CEO & Founder of Purpose Led Ventures, and Berkeley SkyDeck's DEI Committee Chair
Ekin Günaysu, Berkeley SkyDeck, Senior Program Manager
They will provide details about the program, highlight the kinds of companies that typically benefit from SkyDeck, and open the floor to an exclusive Q&A. In 2018, SkyDeck launched a DEI committee to ensure equitable access to our resources. Since implementation, we’ve significantly grown the number of startups founded by women and other underrepresented groups. Our accelerator features multiple workshops specifically tailored to women and underrepresented minorities on everything from networking to pitching.
