About Event

Each of us has our own standards and practices for self-care. The benefits of meditation are endless, working on harnessing those benefits is what can become the challenge. It can be helpful to do this in a group setting, in community with others who are also seeking after practices to be in touch with themselves, or even the divine within them.

For the month of January, the Beacon Hill Friends House invites you to join us, online or in-person, each Monday morning to explore both your personal meditation practice, as well as a group meditation practice led by Sofia Post. We will end with some guiding questions to help assess how the practice can serve your wellness as well as some fellowship to connect with those around you who are seeking similar things.

This is an experiment for us, and we are excited to welcome you! This event is free and open to the public, and closed captioning will be provided for Zoom attendees. Donations to support this program and all of our work at BHFH are always welcome.

We will follow this lose schedule:

8:30 - 8:40 am:

  • Introduction and invitation for fellowship

8:40 - 8:45 am

  • Centering silent meditation

8:45 - 9:00 am

  • 15 minute guided light/warmth meditation

  • 5 minutes of optional queries for journaling

Guided meditation topics include; January 10th - warmth, January 17th - sound, January 21st - breath, and January 31st - movement.
