BHFH Holiday Party
Dear Friends,
We are excited to announce our annual holiday party! On December 15th, you are invited to drop in to BHFH between 1 pm and 3 pm for a cookie swap and ornament decorating.
Things to know:
This is a family-friendly event, with activities for kids and adults to enjoy.
No one is required to bring anything! Although, we encourage you to bring a plate of cookies to add to our cookie-swap pile if you enjoy baking.
We will provide bags for attendees to take their cookies home. You are welcome to bring your own container.
We will have vegan and gluten-free cookie options. Everything will be labeled with its ingredients.
We are not a nut-free household, and it is likely there will be nuts in our cookies.
We cannot guarantee that our gluten-free cookies will be safe for celiacs.
The ornament decorating activity will be in the Parlor, with tempera paint and puff paint. You can put your ornament on our tree, or take it home to put on yours.
This event will take place in our Meeting Room and Parlor.
The Meeting Room has a ground-level entrance that can accommodate small and standard-size wheelchairs.
Our Parlor does not have ground-level access (it is up a flight of stairs, right off of our main entryway).
We will have an all-gender bathroom available on the ground floor.
We will have parking passes to the Boston Common Garage available for $9.
There is currently a small support dog who lives here in the House with one of our residents. You may see her around. She may bark when you arrive; she’s just doing her job. She will not become aggressive. Please let us know if you have any questions about this.
We are looking forward to seeing folks there!
COVID POLICY
The purpose of this COVID policy is to balance the health and safety needs of all of our community members, particularly those who are vulnerable. This policy reflects our shared values of care, respect, and inclusion, ensuring that all community members can participate in gatherings in a way that feels safe and supported. Especially as COVID cases rise in the winter, BHFH is committed to having its public gatherings be accessible to those who need to limit their exposure to COVID.
Test: To limit potential spread of COVID, everyone should take a COVID test ahead of this gathering. We will provide COVID tests onsite for those who need them. Testing helps us prevent asymptomatic spread!
Masking: We encourage mask-wearing for all, and we provide masks to facilitate this! It's part of our culture to wear masks in our space. If you are local, negative for COVID and do not have any symptoms of COVID, have not traveled in the last 4 days, or had an exposure to COVID recently, masks will be optional.
If you have traveled or have known exposure to COVID within four days prior to the event, we will require masks onsite (provided for you).
Symptoms of COVID or Cold? Stay home: If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID or another communicable illness please stay home.
