About Event

“[B]e patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations, wherever you come, that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them; then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in every one.” - George Fox (founder of Quakerism) 1656

"How we are at the small scale is how we are at the large scale. The patterns of the universe repeat at scale. There is a structural echo that suggests two things: one, that there are shapes and patterns fundamental to our universe, and two, that what we practice at a small scale can reverberate to the largest scale." - adrienne maree brown, Emergent Strategy

Dear Friends,

Everyone who is a part of the BHFH community are invited to attend the workshop portion of the BHFH Annual Meeting on Saturday, June 10 from 10 am - 12 pm (followed by lunch!).

We will be asking the question: How are we called to be a pattern in the world?

This year we are making the workshop portion of our Annual Meeting a gathering for both the Board and for others who care about the Friends House and whose insight and input we value to build relationships, share experiences, help us discern priorities, and get excited about the year ahead.

This is an especially exciting time for BHFH: We have a new Executive Director, Jennifer Newman, who has helped lead the organization through the development of its public programming under the strategic plan as the Program Director. We are paying more attention to our building — both its maintenance and our vision for its future.

We are looking forward to using the workshop portion of the Annual Meeting to build community around a shared vision. We hope to have fun, explore deeply, and share our hopes and dreams for the House.

Will you join us?
