AMOO-MOCA: Africa Creative Economy Summit
On Wednesday the 10th of April, 2013 and with overwhelming support from creative professionals, an investment summit was launched with over 100 attendees and several hundred more streaming live online. Inspirational speakers from the creative industries included business leaders, policy makers, and entrepreneurs brought sectors such as advertising, arts, broadcasting, fashion, film, music, and publishing into focus. Our speakers inspired and empowered our eager congress of delegates. Themes addressed include digitisation of content across Africa, monetisation of content, making talent and creative projects more investment ready, and the impact of mobile and social media on several parts of the value chain.
The daytime summit at The Africa Centre in Covent Garden was followed by an evening palatial reception at the House of Commons in Westminster, hosted by Ms Diane Abbott MP.
Attending dignitaries and guests include UK-based ambassadors and attaches from British Virgin Islands, Guatemala, Jamaica, Mozambique, Netherlands, Nigeria, South Africa, St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago as well as the former British High Commissioner to South Africa, Lord Paul Boateng in attendance.
Join us for an inspiring journey at the AMOO-MOCA: Africa Creative Economy Summit, where the vibrant spirit of Africa's creative sectors converges in the heart of London. From 14th to 16th November 2024, immerse yourself in a dynamic environment designed to demystify investments, highlight business models, foster connections, share knowledge, and unlock capital across the continent's flourishing creative industries. Engage in thought-provoking discussions, participate in interactive workshops, and network with peers who are identifying market-fitting financing and investment structures for the creative and cultural industries in Africa.
