​​The very first iteration of the UQ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Society's brand-new, inaugural, Build For Impact Hackathon (BFI '25)! Make the most of a once-in-a-career opportunity to win the right to develop The UQ Union's brand new app.

​This is a fully catered, weekend-long student celebration of ingenuity and creativity designed to inspire the creation of a game changing app for the one of the largest student union bodies in Australia. That's right, the winning team will take home a share of the $10,000 prize pool.

​Build For Impact is about far more than just the money, it aims to fuse together entrepreneurial thinking, technical skills, and vision for the future to create actualised products, ready to impact the world in just one weekend.

​Never built an app before? Don't worry! App development is about so much more than just the code; the best apps in the world takes teams of designers, artists, business people, and product managers to bring them to life. And where will you meet this team? UQIES events are all about meeting new people and expanding your network, meet on the day or come prepared; but make sure you make the most of quality company of Australia's most active student entrepreneurship network.
