Long Angle Half-Day Zen Retreat at Green Gulch Farm
This is a half-day retreat (exclusive to Long Angle members only) that will include an introduction to Zen meditation (Zazen), a lecture, and 1-1 sessions with an ordained Zen Buddhism priest - Shundo. Shundo has decades of experience in leadership roles in the Zen community and leading corporate mindfulness training. His method addresses both spiritual and everyday needs such as:
– a deeper sense of well-being.
– a healthier relationship to stress and anxiety.
– a positive change in mental habits.
– improved concentration and focus.
– enhanced connections with others.
Shundo gave up his career at BBC in London to become an ordained monk. Over the years, he developed a way to approach Eastern teachings in a way that is accessible to people who live in the busy Western world.
Green Dragon Temple/Green Gulch Farm (Soryu-ji) is a Buddhist practice center in the Japanese Soto Zen tradition, offering training in Zen meditation, philosophy, and work. The mission of Green Gulch is to awaken the bodhisattva spirit—the spirit of kindness and realistic helpfulness—as a living enactment of Buddha's Way.
