The Capital Market Solicitors Association invites you to the CMSA’s 2025 Annual Business Summit (ABS) scheduled to hold on 25 June 2025 at Lagos Oriental Hotel.
The CMSA is an independent self-regulatory association of solicitors and commercial law firms engaged in capital market practice in Nigeria.
The CMSA organizes its annual flagship event, the Annual Business Summit (‘ABS’) around prevailing themes that address significant issues within the Nigerian capital market.
The Investment and Securities Act 2025 repeals the Investment and Securities Act 2007 and provides for principal reforms, addresses prior regulatory framework for financial market infrastructures and comprehensive legal framework for capital market activities in Nigeria pursuant to international best practices.
The Act is a major milestone in the Nigerian capital market, and the choice of this year’s theme is influenced by the expanded market accessibility, investor protection, the enlarged powers of enforcement, funding opportunities and institutional confidence that the provisions of the Act offer.
We intend that the fire-side chat and panel discussions would respectively focus on “Powering Nigeria’s Energy Revolution: Unlocking Capital Market Financing for Sustainable Growth” and “Reforms, Innovations and Opportunities under the Investment and Securities Act 2025”
