Offline Hangout @ De Offline Zone | 📍 Cosy Living Room in Utrecht Central Station
Join us for a very special offline hangout at De Offline Zone, a phone-free pop-up zone at Utrecht Central Station to unwind, meet others, and catch up on hobbies you never have the time for.
This hangout kicks off 'De Offline Zone,' a temporary (15-20 April) offline zone in the middle of the buzzing Utrecht Centraal for people to relax, play games, and reconnect. We've created a cosy and quiet living room environment to escape the ratrace of daily life.
Outside this hangout, the zone will be accessible for free thanks to health insurer Zilveren Kruis to promote mental well-being - offline. All donations from this event will go to The Offline Club to support it's mission to make phone-free spaces the norm (pay what you want).
What to expect:
19:00 - 19:30 | Walk-in
19:30 - 20:30 | Connect with yourself
20:30 - 21:45 | Connect with others
21:45 - 22:00 | Central round-up
Connect with yourself
Sit back and recharge by reading a book, drawing, journaling, or engaging in any solo activity you like. You will do your own thing without being disturbed while enjoying relaxed music in the background. Please bring your own books or creative supplies to keep yourself busy.Â
Connect with others
Socialize with friends or strangers, but only if you feel like it. This is the time to meet others, have conversations, discuss books, share ideas, or play games. Of course, you can keep to yourself if you prefer.Â
How to get there?
De Offline Zone will be located in the main hall of Utrecht Central Station, by Spoor 20. You can enter the station from both sides (centrumzijde & jaarbeurszijde) with your OV card or bank card. You won't be charged if you leave the station without taking public transport.
How do I enter the central hall?
One day before the event (on Monday) you will receive a digital card and QR-code to get through the gates and enter the central hall.
We can’t wait to swap screen time for real time with you.
Disclaimer: By trusting us with your beloved phone, you're showing serious faith in humanity! But just so you know, if it magically disappears, learns to fly, or mysteriously breaks, The Offline Club can’t be held responsible.
In case you’re not quite ready to let it go, no worries—just turn it off and keep it tucked away, out of sight!
Refunds? Sorry, no take-backs.
