4WARD SF Peninsula Community Event of the SF, UC Berkeley & Bay Area Climate & Sustainability Networking Meetup

​​THIS IS OUR 2ND EVENT IN THIS COMMUNITY!

5 - 8 pm on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at The Hub in downtown Redwood City . . . UPSTAIRS! Enter on Broadway and climb the stairs to the second floor.

​I will sponsor some "snacky" things to eat and you are welcomed to purchase food and drinks at the downstairs 1st floor and bring them upstairs to eat and drink.

• ​​5 pm "early arrival" and casual networking

  • ​Meet, chat, hang out, connect with other climate/sustainability leaders and advocates.

• ​​6 - 7 pm "official interactions":

  • ​Icebreaker Exercise to Engage & Connect with Each Other

  • ​Introductions, sharing who you are, your purpose, vision & goals for your involvement in the 4WARD Community and the future of Our World.

    • ​Leaders of other Climate/Sustainability organizations/companies are invited to give a bit longer introductions and descriptions of their organizations.

• ​7 - 8 pm More networking & connecting

• ​AFTER 8 PM there is a MUSIC JAM SESSION in the space where we will be meeting, so you are welcome to hang out and enjoy that! One of our climate leaders is in the band (Matt Schlegel).
  

• ​​PAY FOR YOUR OWN DRINKS & FOOD

  • ​I will supply a few snacks. AND . . . we don't have a sponsor for these events (YET!), so we ask everyone to please cover the costs of their own food and drinks.
    

• ​BACKGROUND: The 1st event we held was in San Carlos at Rouge Lounge. This one is at The Hub in downtown Redwood City. (We will be experimenting with a few different locations, perhaps rotating among a few, and look forward to hearing your feedback about what works best for you and this community.)
  
  SF, UC Berkeley & Bay Area is BIG! . . . so I am starting off focusing on the PENINSULA/SILICON VALLEY of the SF Bay Area, basically midway between the cities of San Francisco and San Jose.
