Emilie Poteat, founder and CEO of Advocate, a company dedicated to revolutionizing access to federal benefits — aiming to ensure all Americans receive the support they deserve quickly and effortlessly. With a PhD in Sociology and a background as a MacArthur Research Fellow, she leads revenue growth and the development of technology that automates and simplifies applications for federal programs.
Kat Garcia (Kathleen Garcia-Manjarres), co-founder & co-CEO of Ground - the AI revenue driver uncovering untapped revenue helping consumer companies grow profitably. Prior to starting Ground, Kat was at BCG Digital Ventures, the incubation arm of the Boston Consulting Group, where she helped found, build and scale startups alongside some of the world’s most influential companies. This includes AMEX's first debit card, the Venmo of Latin America (Spin by OXXO), Luxottica's EyeBuyDirect, and more. Kat resides in between the worlds of creativity and analysis, originating in entertainment working as an actor and independent recording artist for a decade.
Isabelle Phelps, Partner at Lerer Hippeau. Prior to joining LH, she served as a Partner at Dorm Room Fund. Isabelle previously held positions in operations, business strategy, and marketing strategy at Yahoo and eBay Enterprise. She studied political science at Williams College and earned her MBA from MIT Sloan.
