​Come together at Rivian Williamsburg as we gather for an evening of play, joy, and celebration. Join us for The Talent Show hosted and emceed by Emily Chertow of @journalingclasses.

​This gathering is an invitation to lean into your spontaneity, talents, step out of your comfort zone, and make room for joy. Everyone's a winner at this Talent Show.

​Picture it more as a space to Come Together, to Stay Open, and embrace all the different parts of who you are and what your peers are interested in.

​💃 We welcome you to participate and showcase your craft, hobbies, passions, and interests! This playful evening will leave you feeling full of bliss, connected to the community, and ready for the weekend.

​❤️ You are invited to show up simply as a participant, but we also encourage you to sign up to showcase your talent! Come solo or invite a friend! All. Are. Welcome.

​PLS NOTE: Show show beings at 7:30pm, but arrival + Rivian Demo Rides, Community Hang and Mixer is from 6:30-7:30. I ask you arrive no later then 7:30 but encourage you to come early!

​🪩 What is a Talent Show? 🪩

​THIS Talent Show is place where you can show up and exist simply as you are, as long as you have an open mind and an open heart.

​We will be holding space for the community to ‘get on stage’ and showcase something they are curious/passionate/excited about. This does not have to be that deep, but you are encouraged to try your best! 

​You are welcome to make us laugh, cheer, smile, cry, or show us something new. You are supported in doing a dance, singing, or talking to the audience. We encourage you to put on a show. 

​You could perform an original song, do an Irish jig, do a comedy set, show us a magic trick, read your poetry – and more. The sky is the limit and the world is YOUR oyster.

​Here is how the evening will look and flow: 

​🪩 Come together and connect [6:00-7:15pm]

• ​Meet new friends, and connect with old ones - a space for us to catch our breath from the week and connect in community.

• ​Enjoy snacks and light bites sponsored by Rivian made with love by your favorite local restaurants!

• ​Take a free spin in Rivian’s luxurious, electric adventure vehicles! 

• ​Add your name to a range of raffles for some sweet giveaways from cool brands and local businesses – such as Away luggage, Recess, and other local small businesses! 

​🪩 Show Begins Promptly [7:30pm]

• ​‘Curtains will rise’ and your host and emcee will kick things off with the talent show 

• ​Community members will take turns showcasing their talents and in turn be supported and celebrated!

​🪩 Talent Show [7:30-8:30pm]

• ​This talent show will run for an hour with no intermission

• ​If there is time 8:30-8:45 invitation for open mic, feeling inspired by your peers - step out of your comfort zone and share a talent with the community. 

​🪩 Announcements and Closing Notes! 

• ​Giveaway winners announced and final notes shared.

• ​Community Cheers, celebration and send off!

​Emily Chertow, she/her, is the founder of @journalingclasses. She is a community builder, educator, healer and Brooklyn-based creative. She spends her time hosting fun community events, or is likely in the park with friends and coffee shops with her journal. Emily is passionate about advocating for mental health, human connection and the power of putting pen to paper. Emily has journaled with over 10,000 people and is passionate about holding space that is inclusive, safe and welcoming to all!
