About Usha Shukla
Usha Shukla is a Bay Area-based artist whose vibrant, nature-inspired abstract paintings reflect her deep connection to color and the natural world. Influenced by her colorful Indian heritage, Shukla creates works that explore light, movement, and the dynamic interaction of hues, often evoking tranquility and vitality. As a first-generation immigrant in California, she found solace in nature, drawing inspiration from its elements, particularly air, which plays a unique role in her painting technique. Using bold strokes and layered textures, Shukla’s oil-on-canvas works capture a balance between her inner landscape and the physical world, inviting viewers into a serene, meditative space.
