Latina Readers Poetry Night
Join us for an intimate evening of poetry, reflection, and connection!

📖 Bring a poem that has shaped your latinidad—something that stirred your spirit, honored your roots, or helped you find your voice. We’ll be reading and sharing them aloud, then discussing the resonant themes that emerge in community!
🏠We’ll gather at Café con Libros, a Black- and Latina-owned feminist bookstore in Crown Heights dedicated to centering the stories of women of color. Founded by writer and educator Kalima DeSuze, the shop is more than a bookstore—it’s a sanctuary for liberation, literature, and sisterhood.
🛍 We’ll have time to browse the shelves, connect with fellow readers, and, if you feel moved, support the shop by picking up a book. It’s a beautiful way to show love to the space that’s welcoming us!
This gathering is open to Latina-identifying readers. Come solo or bring a friend—just bring a poem and an open corazón ✨
