About Event

In a competitive biotech landscape, your team's unique scientific process is your greatest asset. While large-scale SaaS platforms provide an essential foundation, the true competitive edge is found in the strategic gaps they don't cover.

This session introduces "The Glassblower's Advantage": a strategic framework for accelerating discovery by building targeted, custom tools for your most critical workflows. We'll explore how modern AI has made it easier and more affordable than ever for labs to create bespoke software, gaining an advantage that simply cannot be bought off the shelf.

Join a group of your peers for a practical, strategic discussion, a live demo, and a few drinks in a classic London pub.

Who Should Attend?

This event is for the scientists, team leads, project managers, and directors who are tasked with driving innovation and efficiency in their labs. This is for you if:

  • You feel the financial pressure of expensive software licenses and are looking for more cost-effective, high-ROI solutions.

  • You're frustrated by the limitations of your off-the-shelf tools and wish you could build a perfect-fit solution for your team's unique science.

  • You see the promise of AI but are unsure how to move beyond the hype and implement practical, trustworthy tools in your lab.

  • You are responsible for your lab's digital strategy and are exploring new ways to de-risk projects and accelerate discovery.

What You Will Learn & See:

  • A Strategic Framework: An 'Identify, Pilot, Scale' method for developing custom tools that minimizes risk and guarantees value from the outset.

  • AI as Your Co-Pilot: Understand how to leverage AI not as a mysterious 'black box,' but as a practical tool to help define specifications and accelerate development.

  • Live Demo - From Hours to Minutes: We will demonstrate a working custom tool that turns a multi-hour manual assay data process (IC50/EC50 analysis) into a 30-second, fully auditable workflow.

  • Further Case Studies: We'll touch on other real-world examples, from modernizing legacy software interfaces to automating visual QC checks.
