TechChicago & How Women Invest: Female Founders, Funders, and Friends Networking
Our signature roundtable networking event is coming to Chicago! After an at capacity event in NYC, we are excited to welcome founders, investors and tech friends to meet a great crowd while learning something new. Our event will kick off with introductions and opening remarks from our CEO and founder, Julie Castro-Abrams and then we will gather in small groups based on themes and topics led by our discussion leaders that evening. We will wrap up the event with some great views of the city, larger networking conversations, and tasty foods & drinks. Remember to use the hashtags #HowWomenInvest and #TheNewTable with your pictures from our event.
More on us:
How Women Invest is an early stage venture firm, and sister entity to How Women Lead, a professional network of over 20,000 women. We see that female founders are a force to be reckoned with and are part of an untapped venture capital landscape. We will invest in U.S. based, female-led and female-majority owned companies from Seed to Series B in most industry sectors with an emphasis on climate, healthcare, & the future of work. With 40% of companies founded by women, generating 26% greater returns, and yet only 2% of venture backing, How Women Invest focuses at the intersection of this opportunity to create ecosystem change.

Also, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with the Chicago chapter of Latinas in Tech with our event. Latinas in Tech is a non-profit organization with the mission to connect, support and empower Latina women working in technology. Today, the group is comprised of more than 25,000 women, representing more than 15 countries, working at more than 200 technology companies. What began as a small group of friends gathering in Silicon Valley back in 2014 is now a global community. We support our members through professional development, mentorship and recruitment.
