ProjectArt Resident Artist Panel
THIS SUNDAY, July 20th, from 3–6 PM at Green Space Miami.
Join us for a conversation with ProjectArt’s exhibiting artists, and most recent cohort of residents, for a celebration of the show’s closing. Moderated by ProjectArt’s Vice President and Miami Director, Danielle Steele.
Panelists will discuss their experiences teaching visual arts across Miami in Miami Dade Public Library branches and how the residency shaped their creative practices.
Topics will include the role of the teaching artist, arts education in the face of censorship and defunding, the relationship between creativity and critical thinking, and the value of inner child healing through art.
This event is presented in connection with ProjectArt’s exhibition, Told and Retold: The Pedagogy of Knowing and Becoming, a joint student/ teacher show that highlights youth, the power of mentorship, community engagement, and the library as a conduit space for creativity and growth.
