​Scaling Hard Tech in Western Mass

​What?

​HardTech Holyoke is a gathering of anyone building or supporting physical technology in and around Holyoke, including startups, engineers, academics, manufacturers, support organizations, government, and community members. Our mission is to showcase and grow the local opportunities for hard tech companies.

Join us on June 18th for a daytime tour series and an evening event program including a showcase of local projects and resources, updates from local hard tech companies, food and refreshments including a full bar, and ample time to network and connect with the hard tech community.

Why?

Holyoke has been a key industrial city for 150+ years and was built with an eye towards technology, manufacturing, and innovation.

The factors that made Holyoke capable of producing 80% of the world's paper remain superchargers for today's generation of physical technology:
• Ample industrial space
• Geen and affordable energy
• Location and geographic connectivity
• Established local manufacturing base
• Talent from local academic institutions and a capable industrial workforce
• Support from local and regional economic development resources

In 2023, the first HardTech Holyoke event saw over 100 people converge at the historic Wauregan Paper Mill to connect and celebrate. In 2025 we aim to grow that momentum into a clear and communicable hard tech ecosystem campaign.
