Nov 5 (Night) – Opening Salon
A casual social gathering to meet and connect with like-minded individuals. No formal speeches — just good conversation and a laid-back atmosphere to start the event.
Nov 6 (Day) – Cypherpunk + Crypto Community
This session will dive into the role of cryptography as a tool for social change, reflecting on how Cypherpunk ideals have shaped both libertarian and social democratic visions for the future. We’ll examine how cryptography has empowered individuals and communities to resist centralized authorities, paving the way for today’s crypto movements.
The other focus would be Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), which serve as early models of how communities can self-organize and govern themselves without relying on traditional hierarchical structures. DAOs operate based on collective decision-making, blockchain transparency, and token economies. This exploration will set the stage for the following day’s discussions on future decentralized societies.
Nov 6 (Night) – Midnight Chiangmai Gathering
An informal late-night gathering where attendees can relax and exchange ideas in a more casual setting. Enjoy free-flowing discussions under the stars of Chiangmai about crypto, web3, and personal experiences in the decentralized space.
Nov 7 (Day) – Symbiotic Crypto Societies of Tomorrow
Building on the foundations laid by DAOs, this session will explore the broader vision of network states, autonomous worlds, and regenerative co-ops. We’ll discuss how these concepts can come together to form Crypto-Symbiotic Societies — new, decentralized communities that resist centralization while fostering collaboration and sustainability.
Network states are emerging as borderless digital nations with governance structures built on blockchain technology. Autonomous worlds represent self-sustaining worlds where individuals can engage in decentralized world weaving. Regenerative co-ops aim to create economic systems that prioritize sustainability and fairness, leveraging decentralized tools to achieve these goals. This session will explore how these interconnected ideas can shape the future of digital societies.
Nov 7 (Night) – Utopia Solidarity Party
Wrap up WAMO2024 with a celebratory night that honors solidarity, autonomy, and collaboration. Join us for an evening of fun and connection as we envision a shared, decentralized future together.

The Algonquin Club offers a private, intimate setting that encourages authentic conversations, far removed from the noise of social media and screens.
While the venue has a no-phone policy, especially during evening events, we simply suggest minimizing phone use to fully engage in the moment and foster real connections. Don’t worry, we won’t lock your phone away—just enjoy the experience!
