About Event

Coach Lisa, former Head Coach of the Stanford University Fencing Team, will host a special session discussing the lifelong value of fencing: from athletic development and personal growth to how the sport can support future college opportunities.

Fencing is a fast-paced Olympic sport that combines physical agility with strategic thinking, often called “physical chess.” It builds strength, coordination, and focus while teaching kids to think quickly, stay calm under pressure, and make smart decisions in real time. Every bout is one-on-one, helping students develop confidence, discipline, and resilience as they learn to trust themselves and grow from both wins and losses. With a strong culture of respect and sportsmanship, fencing is a safe and inclusive space for kids of all personalities and skill levels.

Beyond the athletic benefits, fencing gives students a unique edge in academics and future opportunities. It promotes focus and goal-setting, and it’s one of the few sports actively recruited by top universities, often with scholarship support. Whether your child is energetic, curious, or simply looking to try something new, fencing offers a rare blend of challenge, community, and personal growth - all in a sport they can enjoy for life.
