Cybernetic Society Summit
What will society look like after powerful AI, and what must we build now to make sure it works for everyone?
As progress continues to accelerate, we need to create spaces to meet and discuss: what kind of world do we actually want, and how can we design systems that make it real?
The Cybernetic Society Summit gathers builders, researchers, economists, and systems thinkers to explore the next layer:
What kind of scientific, economic, political, and social architectures do we want in a world of ambient intelligence?
How can we build technical foundations - open models, decentralized systems, resilient infrastructure - that ensure AI is in tune with broad human flourishing?
This is a working forum. Come to think, engage, and help shape the future at the intersection of AI, society, and open systems.
This event is part of the Edge Esmeralda popup village and is a great chance to visit for the day.

What to Expect
Morning: Vision Building
Discussions on life after widespread AI adoption.
Mapping the societal transitions we want across governance, economy, education, and beyond.
A mix of talks and workshops.
Afternoon: Foundations for Action
Talks and discussions with the people building the tools that will shape this future.
How to design open, decentralized, verifiable AI infrastructure.
Exploring real-world deployments across healthcare, education, science, governance.
Throughout the Day:
Playful, structured formats to mix disciplines and perspectives.
Active documentation of insights — feeding into a shared "Futures Report" circulated post-event.
A space for honest, high-trust conversations, free from PR and posturing.
Who Should Join
Builders working in AI, decentralized systems, or societal tools.
Researchers in AI, governance, complexity science, economics.
Founders exploring the frontier of open intelligence and human-centered tech.
Policymakers and social architects thinking about governance post-AGI.
Artists, writers, philosophers — voices that stretch the collective imagination.
If you're serious about shaping a future where intelligence is powerful and aligned with human flourishing, this is your room.
Organizing Partners
Edge City: a society incubator that gathers people at the frontiers of tech, science, and society in popup villages around the world.
cyber•Fund: cyber•Fund is backing the founders at the frontier to help catalyze the inevitable emergence of the cybernetic world.
Gensyn: Gensyn is building the network for machine intelligence - execution, communication, verification, and coordination software for machine learning operations to be performed, programmatically and permissionlessly, on every capable device in the world.
Blockchain Builders: a fund supporting frontier founders from the Stanford ecosystem who are building the cryptographic infrastructure for digital society — from decentralized AI coordination to provenance, ownership, and trusted data systems.
Why Now
We are still early enough to design the foundations of a future we want, before they're locked in by inertia, monopolies, or misaligned incentives.
This is a chance to be part of that design process while the shape of the world is still being drawn.
