About Event

Life habits, these repetitions of daily activities such as eating, sleeping, or exercising, are notorious determinants of our health. While we tend to be educated on “How much?”, or “What?” is good for us, “When?” is an equally critical element to engage in activities beneficial for our health. Let’s take a dive in the science of the biological clocks, how our activities impact them, how they influence our health, and how we can investigate which timing works best for each us.

Sharing this timely topic with us is Dr. Marie Gombert :)

About Marie Gombert PhD
Life habits, biological rhythms and metabolism

Marie is a postdoctoral researcher at SRI International — a non-profit research center based in the Silicon Valley. Her research projects aim to better understand the biological rhythms, specifically the circadian rhythms and the menstrual cycles. She also investigates the importance of life habits, in particular sleep, in health development.

Her background is in Biochemistry, with a masters in digestive health and nutrition, and a PhD on circadian rhythms in childhood obesity. Her studies were carried out between France (universities of La Rochelle and Toulouse), Spain (Valencia), and the USA (Colorado - Boulder).
