Are you a student eager to learn more about career prospects in startups, or perhaps you've got an idea of your own? Our Careers & Internships in Startups session is for you!
You’ll get to listen to our panel of past interns, founders and employers who will demystify startup land, share the do’s and don’ts of an internship and answer your burning questions. Plus, you’ll learn about the Illume Program who can place you in an internship with a startup!

About UniMelb Student Start-Up Competition
Are you intrigued by entrepreneurship? Do you enjoy meeting like-minded peers, learning about the startup ecosystem, and honing your ideation and product-market fit skills?
If so, the annual UniMelb Startup Pitch Competition is tailor-made for you! No prior experience is required to participate! Throughout the competition, you'll gain access to exclusive preparatory workshops and mentoring sessions led by seasoned entrepreneurship experts. They'll provide valuable feedback to help refine and strengthen your ideas. Should your team advance to the finals, you'll have the opportunity to present to a panel of judges, including venture capitalists and angel investors, and compete for a share of $13,000 in prizes. The competition is open to all University of Melbourne students seeking to develop and test a startup idea. You don’t need any experience to participate. The competition is delivered by the Faculty of Business and Economics and Melbourne Business School with support from CloudTech Group, (Principal Partner), Telstra, Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre and Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship.
