About Liberland
The Free Republic of Liberland is a sovereign state located between Croatia and Serbia on the west bank of the Danube River.
Born from a border dispute, this unclaimed land (terra nullius) was declared a free republic on April 13, 2015 by Vít Jedlička.
With a land area of ~7 sq. km, it is now the third smallest sovereign state in the world — after Vatican and Monaco.
At its core, Liberland upholds the motto “To live and let live,” valuing personal and economic freedom through a Constitution designed to limit government interference and protect individual rights.
