​After this year’s War Room Games in Taipei, Belgrade, and Paris, the time has come for the clash of keyboards in historic Istanbul.

​This time, it’s a showdown of the most prolific hackers, researchers, and auditors.

​Tenderly and Consensys Diligence are excited to host yet another CTF battle, this time in the beautiful and historical city of Istanbul, besieged so many times through its history.

​Get your gear ready, assemble the team, brush up on the exploits, and prepare for battle!

​Conscription is open to all, but this is a true clash, and a certain level of programming knowledge and/or experience with Ethereum is necessary.

​In the bustling heart of Istanbul, a battle like no other was about to go down. 

​Hackers gathered from around the world at the famous Kolektif house, yet they couldn't help but feel a strange sense of déjà vu. Little did they know that the building they were in had once housed the legendary secret chambers, where centuries ago, the Byzantine generals' problem originated.

​Now, the problems are different and battle digital. There will be scheming, cryptic challenges, and bypassing layers of security, which are essential for outwitting opponents. Who will emerge victorious as the Byzantine_BitBandits clash with Istanbullies, while SultansOfSourceCode scheme in the shadows for the title of the Conquerers of Istanbul?

​Introducing the CTF Hacker Showdown Istanbul @Devconnect 2023!

​​Organized by Tenderly and Consensys Diligence (security masterminds creating the challenges), this event will allow you to showcase your hacking skills during the most important Web3 event of the year – Devconnect.

​​The CTF Hacker Showdown takes the form of a Capture the Flag game, with multiple challenges and scenarios designed to test your knowledge and resourcefulness. This is a special themed event built on the idea of War Room Games organized by the Tenderly team at various locations worldwide, so definitely expect numerous obstacles as you hack.

​​You’ll receive an exploit report that outlines a few potential hacks. It’ll be up to you and your teammates to patch the vulnerabilities and emerge victorious.

​​With guidance from devs and researchers from Tenderly and Consensys Diligence, you’ll learn new skills, master cutting-edge tooling, and gain the confidence to tackle high-pressure situations.

​We expect the battle to be fierce and competition strong, with numerous devs coming to Istanbul for the Web3 week of innovation and camaraderie. The clock is ticking, so come prepared.

​​The top-performing teams will win some nice prizes:

​​1st place - 3000 DAI

​​2nd place - 1500 DAI

​​3rd place - 500 DAI

​​All active participants will also receive a free three-month subscription to Tenderly’s Starter plan.

​​Even if you don’t win, you’ll walk away with new Web3 frens, valuable knowledge, and an appreciation for the importance of security and monitoring in Web3.
