Come see how we are increasing biodiversity, building soil, supporting a healthier water cycle, and improving climate stability across 60 acres. Hear about the process of transitioning a conventional citrus orchard into young, trial agroforestry plots.
This walking tour will showcase MAMA TREE's orchards, trial plots, earthworks, plant nursery, and regenerative grazing (yes, there will be goat snuggling), as we discuss the principles behind our management approach. Afterward, MAMA TREE products will be available for sampling and purchase.
The experience does not include transportation. Mama Tree is located in Upper Ojai, about a 15-minute drive from downtown Ojai. Exact address and driving directions will be sent to you upon purchase. Carpooling is encouraged to reduce traffic and wear and tear on the property.
Though this is a detailed, informative tour geared towards adults, all ages are welcome. Please be mindful that children must be supervised by their adult at all times. Children 4 and under are $1, and children ages 5-12 are offered at a discounted rate. A full price ticket is required for all persons over 12 due to our limited capacity.
What should I wear and bring? Please wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Close-toed shoes and long pants that are not susceptible to fox tails are strongly encouraged, especially during dry season. Do bring any other items you may need for weather: i.e. sunhat, layers, water bottle, snacks, etc.

Children 4 and under: $5 - We provide childcare under our namesake Mama Walnut tree for children over 2 years old. This allows for parents to absorb the information of the tour and for littles to enjoy playing safely on the farm.
