About Event

“Dreams to Dollars: Unlocking your Business Model” is the proprietary business model framework that Kanvas uses to help their clients unlock millions of dollars of value. Katie will be teaching an excerpt of the sought-after Dreams to Dollars course for founders in the Queens Economic Development ecosystem over four workshops. We are excited to have her!

Workshop 3: How Do I Know If I'm Profitable?

You have growth. You have customers. Now you need to know - am I profitable?

Here, we will introduce you to the costs of your business. We will define Costs of Goods Sold, and common mistakes founders make with these. We will also discuss Operational Expenditures - that’s things like your talent and foundational business costs.

You can have customers, you can be revenue positive, and still not be profitable. Costs matter! And they’re not as scary as you think.

This workshop is part of the 2025 Queens Tech + Innovation Challenge online workshop series. Participants will have a chance to win a grant up to $20K for their startup businesses. Applications are due March 1, 2025. Learn more at http://queensstartup.org/
