OSINT, Journalism & The Modern Audience (London Seminar)
As part of the UK OSINT Community's 'OSINT Week', we'll be holding a seminar with OSINT experts and journalists to discuss the uses and abuses of OSINT within journalism.
This is part of the UK OSINT Seminar Series.
'OSINT, Journalism and the Modern Audience'
Both open source intelligence (OSINT) and investigative journalism suffer rapid (and radical) redefinition in a world of changing technology and audience needs. So where do we go from here? What is the relationship between the two, and how can journalists harness OSINT techniques (and vice versa)?
Speakers shall be:
Eliot Higgins, Founder of Bellingcat
Nadine Naguib, Managing Director of NEON Century
Dr Richard Danbury, Senior Lecturer in Journalism, City St George's University of London
Dr Manisha Ganguly, Investigations Team OSINT lead at The Guardian
In contrast to the UK OSINT Unplugged Series (informal networking), the UK OSINT Seminar Series brings together our community for theoretical and practical insights, drawing on expertise across our membership and beyond.
