Tapering Atypical Antidepressants
Have any questions on other atypicals or off-label antidepressants? Submit them in the chat and we’ll cover as many as possible live!
About the Event
Join us for this special session in Outro’s Tapering Series, featuring Dr. Mark Horowitz, Scientific Co-Founder of Outro Health, for a focused discussion on tapering atypical antidepressants—specifically Wellbutrin (bupropion), Desyrel (trazodone), and Remeron (mirtazapine).
While these medications fall outside the SSRI/SNRI category, they still come with their own unique tapering challenges. Dr. Horowitz will review what makes these drugs pharmacologically distinct, how withdrawal symptoms may present differently, and why a hyperbolic tapering strategy still applies. We’ll also explore what clinicians and patients need to know about long-term use and how to approach discontinuation safely.
Can’t make it live? Register anyway and we’ll send you the recording.
