Healing Hike--PHILLY x JERSEY
Join Philly Hike Host Maggie and Jersey Hike Host Charlotte on this scenic trail climb of Ted Stiles Preserve at Baldpate Mountain the Township’s largest contiguous forest!
The 5.8 summit climb is considered moderate and has a 816 ft elevation gain. After reaching the top, you can enjoy picturesque views of the Delaware River to the south and even a view of the Philadelphia skyline on a clear day.
Please dress warmly in layers, as it is usually cooler in these mountain areas. Please bring snacks and plenty of water. Staying hydrated on this climb is essential. Afterwards, we will visit the Village Farmer & Bakery to get some goodies and hang out a little more.
Hike Schedule:
10:30am--Check-In + Welcome Circle
10:55am--Healing Hike
2:00pm--Stretch + Closing Circle
Things to note:
MODERATE level hike
NOT stroller friendly or Dog-friendly
Bring plenty of water and snacks. Hiking boots, trekking poles and long pants are encouraged. [full checklist in confirmation email]
This hike is rain or shine, so please bring a poncho or rain jacket in case of light rain
Afterwards, we will visit the town to get some goodies and hang out a little before hitting the road!
RESTROOMS: NOT available at the trailhead (bring tissues and small plastic bag just in case you have to use nature's restroom).
