Healing Hike--PHILLY x JERSEY
Join Hike Hosts Maggie, Charlotte + Erica for our a special crossover hike edition as we explore the Delaware Water Gap for a scenic trail climb of Mount Tammany, one of the most scenic hikes in NJ!
The 3.6 inclined trail offers sweeping views of the Delaware Water Gap. This uphill climb is considered challenging, very rocky and has a 1,213 ft elevation gain. The red trail uphill is strenuous while the blue trail down will offer relief. This hike offers beautiful stunning views of both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
It is NOT stroller or dog friendly due to the rocks. Please dress warmly in layers, as it is usually cooler in these mountain areas. The average weather for this area for the end of November is 35-45 degree but please check the week of.
Hike Schedule:
10am--Check-In + Welcome Circle
10:30am--Healing Hike
2:00pm--Stretch + Closing Circle
Things to note:
ADVANCED level hike
NOT stroller friendly or Dog-friendly
Bring plenty of water and snacks. Hiking boots, trekking poles and long pants are encouraged. [full checklist in confirmation email]
This hike is rain or shine, so please bring a poncho or rain jacket in case of light rain
Afterwards, we will visit the Village Farmer & Bakery to get some goodies and hang out a little before hitting the road!
RESTROOMS: NOT available at the trailhead (bring tissues and small plastic bag just in case you have to use nature's restroom).
There are restrooms at the PA Welcome Center 5 min before the trailhead for you to stop on your way in.
