Map the System Info Session (virtual)
Map the System is back for another year! Join us to learn more about this exciting global program and how to get involved. This information session will include information on the registration process, key dates and what to expect as a participant. More details below.
Who is it for?
Map the System is designed for students and recent graduates of any discipline who have an interest in social or environmental issues and who want to learn more about a problem they care about and present their findings to the world.
What is it?
Map the System is a one-of-a-kind interdisciplinary challenge hosted in partnership with the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Oxford. The program challenges participants to use a systems-thinking approach to demonstrate a deep understanding of a pressing social or environmental challenge of their choosing.
To support UCalgary students who choose to take part in the competition, there will be a collection of weekly workshops to provide an opportunity for them to further develop the approaches involved in systems thinking and provide them with tangible skills that can be applied to their project.
Why enroll?
Students participating in Map the System will have the opportunity to join a global movement committed to systems change, learn new skills to address the world’s most pressing issues and bring awareness to a social or environmental issue you are passionate about
