How can I help?
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by 31 October 2025 to help TEU School of Law establish their law library. You can help to build this library by taking the following steps!
Make a financial contribution! Donations over $2 are tax-deductible. To make a donation, visit our fundraising page hosted by AnglicanAid.
Donate a book! The CEO of AnglicanAid Tim Swan will be traveling to TEU in November 2025. If you have any of the books the law school needs you can send them to AnglicanAid at PO Box Q190, QVB NSW 1230 or drop-off in-person at their office: L2 464 Kent St, Sydney NSW Australia.
Background
South Sudan is the world's youngest nation, gaining sovereignty from Sudan in 2011. However, decades of war have meant that South Sudan continues to be a fragile country with high levels of poverty, crime, and tribal tensions which erupt regularly. The cycle of poverty is perpetuated by corruption and mismanagement of the country's rich resources, meaning access to education at all levels is both a challenging and urgent need for the country.
TEU grew from a desire of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan (ECSS) to strengthen governance in the church and in the nation. The School of Law seeks to provide quality training for lawyers with a strong ethical base, to help South Sudan move towards stability, peace, and prosperity.
There is currently no government funding for higher education in South Sudan. By contributing to this fundraiser, you will be helping to provide much-needed student bursaries, library resources, and staff salaries for the School of Law.
Together, we can support TEU to train lawyers who will go on to strengthen and transform their nation!
