Greening AI Roundtable

​On behalf of Friends of the Earth (England, Wales and Northern Ireland), We Are Open Co-op (WAO) is extending you an invitation to participate in an online roundtable discussion as part of the Mozilla-funded Green Screen Coalition project. 

​Join our four speakers in a lively panel discussion around a set of shared principles for how we, as climate and environmental justice campaigners and digital rights campaigners, can think about how we apply AI technology, and how we can align it with our values.

​Our speakers have been chosen to bring in voices and experiences that are not often heard in the UK conversation – global perspectives that shine a light on how our demand for data is impacting communities most impacted by environmental injustice:

​​This conversation is invitation only – we aim to host an eye-opening and informed discussion that will shape our emerging thinking about responsible AI for environmental justice. The roundtable will take place in Zoom, last 90 minutes and will be recorded.

​We will take the feedback from all roundtable participants, experts and observers, to shape our collaborative principles into a report similar to this 2021 report on carbon offsetting.
