Is Intelligence Real?

​... and does it matter?

​Every release of ChatGPT is accompanied by debate on whether or not this version shows "real" intelligence. But what what exactly do we mean by the words "real" and "intelligence".

​Igor Krawczuk will give a talk on the concept of intelligence, drawing on insights from causality and ML research but also neuroscience, social sciences and history. Igor has a PhD in ML optimization from EPFL and is now working as Lead ML Engineer at Adaptyv Bio.

​As per usual, doors will open at 19:00 with the talk starting at 20:00. ​Food and drinks will be available, donations are appreciated :)
