WISHING STAR FARM & WELLNESS: Handpan HangOut & Song Circle
COMMUNITY NIGHT: Handpan HangOut & Song Circle Night w/ Amy Naylor + Sarah Paz Hyde
Join us at Wishing Star Farm for Community Night (handpan style). We’ll start with a handpan jam for handpan enthusiasts, players, musicians and anyone curious about making music. Whether you are new to playing the handpan, an intermediate+ musician, or simply curious about the instrument, come see what it's all about and join us for an evening full of handpans and music. Don't have a handpan but want to come? Don’t worry, there will be instruments provided including frame drums, shakers, djembes, a few extra handpans and acoustic instruments floating around.
Following the handpan hangout, participants are invited to sit together, sing together, play together, and celebrate joy together. With the handpan at the center, Amy plays mantra-like songs for all to be involved in. These songs are sung to promote healing, connection and empowerment, and she invites all to sing; breaking down the barrier between “performer” and “audience”. In this space, we will explore our own voices, learn and share new songs and mantras, and sing / drum together in an informal and fun setting.
TIMELINE » You are welcome to join us for the full evening, the handpan immersion or the song circle portions only.
6–7:15P • Handpan HangOut & Jam includes a brief segment on “how to jam”
7:30–8:30P • Song Circle
ABOUT AMY & SARAH
AMY NAYLOR » Amy is a handpan player, songwriter, and music facilitator from England. She first learned to sing and drum as a child around festival campfires, and as she grew to find her own voice she quickly fell in love with the handpan, discovering it to be the perfect instrument for her vision. Knowing just how transformative and empowering the simple act of playing music together can be, Amy crafts her shows and workshops to create a space where this connection can blossom. With the handpan at the center, she plays repetitive mantra-like songs for all to be involved in, breaking down the barrier between “performer” and “audience”. www.amynaylormusic.com
SARAH PAZ HYDE » Sarah’s somatic journey with music began with the violin at age four. She now explores musical and vocal resonance as tools for self-healing, calmUNITY connection, planetary & inner alchemical restoration. A 2023 graduate of the Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy, Sarah shares the gift of handpan through Super Bloom community events, hands-on education, sound meditation sessions, and with the folk band, The RhizOMes. www.sarahpazhyde.com
