During this weekend we will reflect on the Buddha's teaching on the ways that our perceptions become distorted leading to confusion and distress. We will also reflect on the responses offered by the Buddha in what he referred to as the perceptions that heal and liberate.
This will be a contemplative weekend with extended teaching times, practice periods and space for discussion and questions. Please note that this is not a traditional meditation retreat with extended periods of sitting and walking

Please review, sign and bring the attached document with you to the retreat. If you are not able to bring the document with you, copies of the document will be available at Goward House for you to sign when you check in. Thank you.
If the Covid situation changes, the retreat will continue online.
Cost
Because the Buddha's teachings are considered to be priceless, and in keeping with the teachings and spirit of generosity or dana, this retreat is freely offered. Donations are welcomed.
For those attending in-person, there will be two dana baskets set out at the retreat. One basket will be for you to offer dana for the teacher and a separate basket for organizational costs incurred by Victoria IMS (cash or cheque).
Alternatively, participants may offer dana to the teacher through PayPal here. Please contact the Registrar for alternative ways of sending dana to the teacher.
For the organizational costs incurred by Victoria IMS, clients of Canadian banks can make donations by Interac e-Transfer to vimsdana@gmail.com and anyone can donate with PayPal by clicking here. Cheques can be mailed to 4013 Magdelin St. Victoria, BC V8N 3M5.
The suggested donation for organizational costs for this two-day event is $40. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

About Christina
Christina Feldman is of the generation of dharma teachers that began teaching in the west in 1975 after spending some years in Asia studying and practicing in both the Mahayana and Theravadan traditions. Christina is a leading senior teacher in the insight meditation community, offering retreats internationally.
She is a co-founder of Gaia House in the UK, and has served as a guiding teacher of the Insight Meditation Society in Massachusetts since its early days. Christina is a co-founder of Bodhi-College, which is dedicated to the study and practice of the early teachings of the Buddha. She teaches Buddhist psychology in several university settings in Europe, and she teaches both traditional retreats and study programs. She is deeply engaged in the dialogue between Buddhist psychology and contemporary mindfulness. Christina is an author of numerous books. Her latest book is Mindfulness: Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Psychology, co-authored with Willem Kukyen.
Christina lives in England and is a mother and a grandmother.
