Our word of the year is confidence and we are excited to welcome Georgie Yarwood (Senior Investment Strategist at Vanguard), Ayesha Ofori (Founder & CEO of Propelle), and Hulya Gunay (Founder of Venus Global Finance) in conversation around investing with confidence.

Georgie Yarwood:
Georgina Yarwood is a Senior Investment Strategist in the Investment Strategy Group (ISG), the global team responsible for developing Vanguard’s portfolio construction methodology and publishing research on economics, portfolio strategies and investor behaviour.
Within ISG, Georgina is responsible for conducting analysis and developing insights on a wide array of investor behaviour topics.
Her current research interest examines the behaviour of self-directed individual investors, including trading behaviour, asset allocation and product choice, and decision making. Recent work also involves research on retirement readiness in the UK and launching a survey of UK investor expectations.
Previously, Georgina has published research examining the value of financial advice. Prior to her current role, Georgina was a participant of the Vanguard Accelerated Development Program. Georgina joined Vanguard in 2016 and holds a BSC in Economics from the University of Bath.
Ayesha Ofori:
Ayesha Ofori is the Founder of Propelle, a new ‘lifestyle investment platform’ for women that is built around financial education, investment action, and community. From a background in investment banking and wealth management to creating a female-focused startup, Ayesha has experienced the transition from a traditionally male-dominated industry, to creating a female-focused business, built by women for women.
Ayesha previously held roles in Morgan Stanley’s real estate investing and investment banking teams, and at Goldman Sachs, where she was an Executive Director and Private Wealth Adviser to ultra-high net worth individuals, managing over $500m of client assets.
Ayesha has worked with high-net-worth individuals who seek to invest in residential property, and she has helped to empower historically underrepresented groups, by supporting them to achieve financial independence through property investment.
Huyla Gunay:
Hulya Gunay is an Independent Financial Advisor & Financial Coach. After working over 15 years in large financial institutions internationally, she set up her practice Venus Global Finance which aims to empower female business owners and professionals financially.
Drawing on her extensive expertise and personal journey, she has made it her mission to guide female business owners and professionals toward financial independence, especially those who have faced financial control or abuse in relationships.
After earning a BSc in Mathematics in her native Istanbul, Hulya embarked on a successful career in global finance, working with top-tier financial institutions before founding her holistic financial planning practice, Venus Global Finance. Her practice is uniquely focused on supporting women, particularly those navigating life transitions.
Combining her financial expertise with her qualifications as a personal transformation coach and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner, she offers a compassionate, empowering approach to financial planning.
