Online - Raising the Nation Play Commission - Play in Public Space webinar
The Raising the Nation Play Commission in partnership with the Association of Play Industries are delighted to invite you to an online webinar to explore the role of developers, architects, and local authorities in supporting children and young people to play and thrive in public space. We are seeking the views of developers, architects, and local authorities to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the sector.
The Raising the Nation Play Commission is led by entrepreneur and author Paul Lindley OBE, in partnership with the Centre for Young Lives. Launched in June 2024, the Commission is holding a year-long inquiry into the barriers to play facing children and young people in England, and how to overcome them.
In February 2025, we launched our interim report which calls on the Government to create a new National Play Strategy for England and introduce a Play Sufficiency Duty for local authorities. We will launch our final report on the next International Day of Play.
This webinar will form a part of our research and will inform our final report. It will be chaired by Dr Amanda Gummer, Chair of the Association of Play Industries, and will take place online on Tuesday 29th April 12:30-14:00.
We do hope you are able to join us for this important discussion. Places are limited.
Once you have registered for this event, you will automatically receive a calendar invitation which will include a link to join the online roundtable.
