About Event

Women are the future of Web3 and digital assets! This power-packed panel and networking event is designed for women and non-binary folks who are involved in building the future of crypto and blockchain.

​Our trail-blazing panel will share their insights on conquering common hurdles faced by female founders and dive into critical topics like navigating growth, mastering the art of fundraising, and unlocking new possibilities in the Web3 job market. We will also explore strategies for staying compliant and fostering a diverse and inclusive crypto ecosystem.

​Join us for an inspiring evening of learning, connecting, and empowerment hosted by Reed Smith’s On Chain Crypto and Digital Assets Group, with opening remarks from On Chain lead Celisa Morin.

Our panel discussion kicks off at 5pm followed by drinks, bites and networking.

Our speakers include:

Simone Berry

Named as one of “The Vogue Business 100 Innovators: Tech and Web3 innovators,” Simone Berry is a brand builder at the heart of fashion, culture and Web3. Jamaican-born Simone has spent the majority of the past decade leading teams designing and developing global brands and helping them scale to more than $200M USD in revenue.

​In 2019, Simone widened her scope to include Web3 by advising brands on how best to enter the world of NFTs and the Metaverse. In 2022 she co-founded the award-winning studio People of Crypto aimed at advancing diversity and inclusiveness through Web3 storytelling.

Carolyn Reckhow

Carolyn Reckhow is the COO at Thesis*, a cryptocurrency venture studio funding and building decentralized products and protocols that enable personal empowerment. Carolyn is a social scientist by training who has been active in the crypto space since 2014.

She was one of the first employees at ConsenSys, helping scale the Ethereum firm up to 900 as Director of Operations before joining Casa in 2018 to bring their Bitcoin security products to market. She’s been building and advising startups at Thesis since 2019 with a portfolio that includes Fold, Keep & tBTC, Saddle, Taho, Embody, Acre, and new Bitcoin L2 Mezo. 

Maggie Love

​Maggie is the Founder of SheFi, a cohort-based education program which empowers professional women and non-binary folks to master Web3 in 13 weeks. This program with live instruction, hands-on tech demos, and peer support, is aimed at accelerating careers in Web3 and AI. SheFi also produces large-scale global events called SheFi Summits, offering dedicated career support and provides education to corporate organizations. Corporate clients of SheFi include the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology, Google and United Talent Agency. SheFi has over, 3,000 members from over 90 countries. 

​Prior to founding SheFi, Maggie worked at ConsenSys where she drove ventures, partnerships and client engagements.  While there, she co-founded W3BCLOUD, a joint venture between ConsenSys and Advanced Micro Devices focused on building a GPU-based cloud computing platform for blockchain and AI workloads. She was also on the founding team of Cellarius, a science fiction universe on the blockchain.

Hadas A. Jacobi

​Hadas is Counsel in Reed Smith’s Financial Industry Group and a member of the On Chain group. She advises financial services providers including banks, money services businesses, payments companies, digital asset  service providers, FinTech companies, and investment management firms on regulatory compliance issues including federal and state licensing, regulatory examinations and enforcement, AML/CFT laws and regulations and the Corporate Transparency Act. 

​Hadas has expertise advising on regulatory risks and obligations applicable to emerging technologies as well as cybersecurity compliance, incident response and data governance matters. Hadas has an extensive background in financial regulation, having spent eight years as an attorney at the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) where she served as both a Senior Assistant Deputy Superintendent in the Consumer Protection and Financial Enforcement Division and a Senior Attorney in the Department's Office of General Counsel.
