Bolt Designers Hackathon
BDE, Employed.world & Buena is bringing design hackathon together.
30 designers will spend a full day in founder mode to build & showcase their product ideas.
In this hackathon you'll become a founder, focusing not only on design but also tech side (with help from Bolt) and on distribution. So by day's end you'll have an MVP, complete packaging, and distribution plan.
We believe designers make great founders and want to encourage local folks to give it a try.
How will it work?
No special prep required — just bring ideas
Ideas are yours, we don't provide preset tracks
One week before the event we'll match teams so you can meet your teammates and decide on the idea you'll build in hackathon
Teams will consist of 3 people. You define roles themselves but we suggest: 1 design, 1 tech (Bolt), 1 distribution
We've partnered with Bolt to provide everyone with a Pro account for whole hackathon
During event you will have a few AI mentors available who can help you with Bolt and executing your ideas
All ticket money goes directly to the winner's prize. We're not earning anything from it, we just want to make sure you show up to the event
Agenda
Event runs from 11:00 till 22:00.
11:00 — 12:00: opening and vibe coding intro from Sam
12:00 — 19:00: build (launch time and format defined independently by teams)
19:00 — 20:00: team pitches
20:00 — 22:00: food/drinks & network with a break for winner announcement at 21:00
Location
Buena office in Prenzlauer Berg. Comfortable space to focus all day with everything you need: Studio Display, adjustable desks, and ergonomic chairs.
Jury
3 judges with startup and VC backgrounds. We will announce them later.
Other notes
This event is only for product/ux/ui designers. We're thinking about making it available to larger group but v1 is focused on designers only.
Lunch is not provided. But you can (1) bring your food from home or (2) use our local lunch recommendations.
The office is fully wheelchair-accessible.
