About Event

Join artist Gavin Snider in a watercolor documentation of the most charming scenes in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

This series, Corners, is an all-levels-friendly 2.5-hour workshop dedicated to celebrating New York's hidden gems large and small.

In Corners, Gavin will walk you through his refined approach to painting what you see, building your painting layer by layer and pushing through any discomfort of wanting to start over.

For this upcoming workshop in Corners, we will meet at the Prospect Park Boathouse and paint from either the serene rolling hills of the park or the picturesque boathouse pending availability on Sunday.

Please bring a blanket to sit on for the park, but otherwise all materials for the event are hand-selected by Gavin for his personal work and provided for the event (see list below). If you have materials you'd prefer to bring please do so.

Materials:

  • Winsor & Newton Yellow Ochre watercolor paint

  • Winsor & Newton Burnt Sienna watercolor paint

  • Winsor & Newton Prussian Blue watercolor paint

  • Daniel Smith Moonglow watercolor paint
