Crypto Crafts Marché Day 2
Indulge in the timeless charm of Kyoto's craftsmanship, artistry, and culinary delights this summer at the exclusive Crypto Crafts Marché. In this short 3-day event, the Marché showcases both establishments hundreds of years old and relatively new entrants, each preserving the legacy of their craft with an appreciation for new technologies and collaborations.
What sets this fair apart? We're embracing the future by accepting payments in cryptocurrency. In a world where cryptocurrency payments in Japan are still often limited to digital goods, the Marché offers a chance to purchase the new wave of Kyoto tradition through cryptocurrency.
The Marché curates a selection of artisans who experiment with new techniques or mediums. From ceramicist Yuko Hayashi who employs confectionary methods to create delicate feathery shapes with her clay, to collective Someyafive who apply traditional kimono dyeing methods to T-shirts to create everyday wear, the Marché offers a rare glimpse into the side of Kyoto exploring and testing the boundaries of tradition.
Join us as we celebrate the timeless allure of Kyoto's heritage, where the past meets the future in a harmonious fusion of culture, craftsmanship, and crypto.
Payments accepted in: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Matic. All prices shown will be in Ethereum.
Collectives and artisans on display include:
Kogei Art Kyoto, SomeyaFive, Mandaracha x KIYONAGA, Bar iXey
