Eternal Forest is a vision of 1,000 forest sanctuaries protected for 1,000 years.
We invite you to join us for our regular regenerative online social evening, bringing together a circle of forest lovers, artists, scientists and community leaders.
The theme of this gathering is Connecting with the Land!
This gathering starts with a warm welcome and a short mindfulness moment. You’ll hear key updates on Eternal Forest, including new team members, partnerships, milestones, and inspiring stories from our community members. A special guest speaker will share a personal story of forest connection.
Our special guest today is Pamela Turczyn, New York, USA. 'As a visual artist and nature empath, I work in a co-creative process with nature’s intelligence while making intricately layered paintings. My unique engagement with nature stems from my sensitivity to energy fields and subtle vibrations emanating from trees, the land and other nature beings.'
She will share a story of encountering the spirit of a Land Keeper who advised her to cultivate a relationship with the land near where she lives (lower Manhattan, Native Land). She later made a ceremony and buried a medicine bundle on a local park trail. Tune in to find out how the land and the trees responded!
Evgenia Emets will share about her recent work as an artist in residence in Picote, a village on the border of Portugal and Spain, near the beautiful river Douro and the new creation of an Eternal Forest Grove with the local community. Evgenia will share about her process of connecting with the land and community and finding the place for the future forest grove, the approach to engaging community and the next steps on implementing the artwork in situ.
You will be able to meet the others in the community, in the breakout rooms - exchange ideas on what a 1,000-year forest means to you and how you can contribute.
We will close with a call to action, inviting you to join as an ambassador, contributor, or team member, followed by the final reflections.
