It seems that lots of the issues that arise for comms teams and their colleagues are caused by mismatched understandings of what comms/marketing 'do'.
Is your team a poster design machine that accepts requests from colleagues and spits out artwork and social media posts? Are you a strategic part of the organisation making high level decisions about how the union communicates?
We'll look at the pros and cons of each model (and the big grey space in between!), assess where you currently are and where you might want to be.
